McComb is the retail hub for a large area. So there is
a large variety of entertainment, nightclubs, shopping venues and restaurants. McComb is headquarters for a four county library system. The library at Southwest MS Community College in Summit is also available for
use by the public.

Pike County is home to southwest Mississippi's premiere state park: Percy Quin State Park. This natural beauty features great fishing and water sports on the 1,700-acre lake plus magnolia-shaded hiking trails and loblolly pines.  Bogue Chitto Water Park offers camping plus canoeing and tubing through some of the state's most scenic landscapes.

Pike County has several golf courses, including Quail Hollow Championship Course (rated TOP 10 public course by Golf Digest), public parks, tennis courts, a bowling alley, movie theaters, abundant fishing and hunting opportunities, public boat launches and piers, other facilities, and saltwater fishing within one-hour drive.

Pike County has a flair for fun with many festivals and attractions. In March and April, McComb sparkles at night during the Lighted Azalea Festival. In April, the Pike County Arts Council hosts Springfest, complete with food, arts, crafts and entertainment. May brings more flowers during the Osyka Daylily Garden Tour. The annual Iron Horse Festival combines the area's rail history with popular performers and fun for the entire family. The Summit Street Fair in September and the Osyka Fall Fest in October are just a couple more of the many ways to have fun here.

The Pike County Arts Association, the Pike County Little Theater, and the Southwest MS Art guild offer a full menu of cultural activities, including regular Broadway plays, symphony, ballet, and celebrity chef and author appearances, among other events.

Pike County Speedway - A 3/8-mile high-banked oval track which is one of the most popular in the mid-South. The Speedway is host to many special auto racing events, including dirt drags, Hav-A-Tampa and World of Outlaws events.

Felder's Campground - For 152 years a camp meeting has been held by Methodists at the campground on the banks of the Topisaw Creek. One of the few remaining old-time campgrounds in America, a ten-day meeting in late July draws thousands of the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren of earlier residents of the

northeast section of the county. More than fifty cabins (called tents) are maintained by families for the annual gathering.

Holmesville Historic Area - Now a small village on the banks of the Bogue Chitto River, Holmesville was the site of Mississippi's First Territorial General Assembly on Dec. 9, 1815.

Holmesville was the county seat of Pike County from the county's formation in December 1816 until June 1873 when Magnolia became the county seat.

During its heyday in the 19th century, Holmesville boasted a large business district with a number of hotels, stores and saloons. Its cemetery includes veterans of almost every war from the Revolutionary War to the present.
